Same beach. Same outfits. Same love. Ten years later. 🀍

When Priscilla and Dennis planned a trip back to Gulf Shores to celebrate their 10-year wedding anniversary, they decided to recreate a little piece of where their story began.

And they didn't just come back to the same beach.

They brought the same outfits they wore 10 years ago... right down to Dennis' shoes. 🥹

Ten Years of Life in Between

There is something incredibly special about returning to a place that holds so many memories.

Ten years ago, Priscilla and Dennis stood together on the beach in Gulf Shores at the beginning of their marriage. This time, they came back with an entire decade of life together behind them.

Ten years of laughter.

Ten years of memories.

Ten years of growing together.

Ten years of choosing each other.

And getting to document them in the same place, wearing the same clothes, all these years later felt like capturing two chapters of their story at once.

They cleaned up pretty nice then, but I'd say they clean up even better now. 🀍

Anniversary Photos Don't Have to Feel Formal

One of my favorite things about photographing couples is that your session doesn't need to celebrate an engagement or a wedding.

Sometimes, the years in between are exactly what deserve to be documented.

Priscilla and Dennis' session wasn't about recreating every detail of a photograph from 10 years ago. It was about honoring where they started while capturing who they are together now.

We walked along the shoreline, let the Gulf Shores sunset do its thing, and created images that feel like them, relaxed, connected and very much still in love.

That's what I want couples to remember when they're considering anniversary photos: you don't need a milestone-worthy outfit, elaborate setup or perfectly planned poses.

You just need the two of you and a chapter worth remembering.

Celebrating Your Anniversary in Gulf Shores

If you're already planning an anniversary trip to Gulf Shores or Orange Beach, consider setting aside a little time during your vacation for photos together.

The beach makes such a beautiful backdrop, especially around sunset, but the most important part isn't really the scenery.

It's having photographs that show what your relationship looks like right now.

Maybe that's five years into marriage. Maybe it's 10, 25 or 50.

Years from now, you'll be able to look back and remember not only what you looked like, but how this season of your life felt.

Priscilla and Dennis now have photographs from the beginning of their marriage and another set from 10 years later.

And I can't think of a better reminder of just how much life can happen between two photographs.

Here's to the Next 10 🀍

Priscilla + Dennis, thank you for letting me document such a meaningful milestone.

Same beach.

Same outfits.

Same love.

Just 10 more years of memories added to the story.

Here's to the next 10. 🀍
